Frequently asked questions
How much does mediation cost?
We offer transparent and affordable fees:
MIAMs cost £112 per person, or £62 for Universal Credit recipients.
Mediation sessions are £180 per person, pr £140 per person for child-only mediations.
We can apply for a £500 government-funded voucher for mediation sessions involving children to reduce your costs.
Finally, we charge fees for preparing the documents you'll need to finalise the arrangements: In children’s cases, £120 per case for a Statement of Outcome and in financial cases, £340 per case for an Open Financial Statement (financial disclosure summary) and a Memorandum of Understanding (what you’ve agreed). These can be taken to a solicitor to draft a Consent Order.
Mediation normally costs far less than trying to settle directly in court.
Can we use the Family Mediation Voucher Scheme?
Yes. If your case involves child arrangements, we may be able to apply for a government voucher worth up to £500 toward the cost of mediation.
Do you participate in the government legal aid scheme ?
No. We offer our clients who claim Universal Credit a discount. This avoids them completing complex applications forms which save clients time. Currently we offer Government Vouchers which we claim on clients behalf to the value of £500 towards the cost of the mediation. This only applies to cases that involve children.
