£500 Government Mediation Voucher
Helping Families Reach Agreement
At London Mediation Online, we’re pleased to take part in the Government Mediation Voucher Scheme, which provides up to £500 towards the cost of family mediation for separating parents and carers.
What is the Mediation Voucher Scheme?
The scheme was introduced by the Ministry of Justice to help families resolve issues around child arrangements without going through court. If your dispute involves children - for example, where they live, how much time they spend with each parent, or decisions about their upbringing - you may be eligible for a £500 voucher to help cover the cost of mediation.
How it works
-
Book your MIAM (Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting):
The MIAM is your first step. We’ll explain how mediation works and assess whether your case qualifies for the voucher.
-
Voucher eligibility check:
If your case relates to children, we’ll apply for the £500 voucher on your behalf. You don’t need to fill in any government forms.
-
Voucher applied to your sessions:
The £500 is paid directly to us by the Family Mediation Council once your mediation sessions are complete. You only pay for any costs above this amount (if further sessions are needed).
-
Simple, confidential, and flexible:
We conduct sessions online, at times to suit you, helping families reach agreements faster and with less stress.
Who is eligible?
You may qualify for the voucher if:
-
The mediation relates to child arrangements, parental communication, or other child-related issues; and
-
The mediation is conducted by a Family Mediation Council accredited mediator (which London Mediation Online provides).
